Lisabel Filiatrault’s Biography

Lisabel Filiatrault has, over time, developed a unique artistic approach which incorporates her passion for music and for people. Today she is in complete symbiosis with her creations which are very easily recognised. With her background of working with composite materials, she has acquired the knowledge and skills which allow her to create and master the explosive textures and colors which are so much a part of her work. Born in Quebec in 1968, Lisabel has contributed to the Montreal art scene through her life experience, her creativity and her knowledge.

Her first artistic accomplishments took place 20 years ago in Atlanta, a turning point in her life, when she left home to discover and develop her many talents. At the time Lisabel was not able to live off of her art so she concentrated her efforts in an area she was familiar with and which she had studied, composite materials. Even though she painted all this time it was only in 2007 that Lisabel decided to pursue her dream of becoming an accomplished full time artist.

With a lot of hard work and perseverance, she accomplished her dream when she won the first Grand Prix for distinct technique in the 2007 24^th International gala of visual arts, sound and light competition organised by the Cercle des Artistes Peintres et Sculpteurs du Québec. Today, this contemporary artist creates works of art in her 3000 ft.² Montreal studio.

Lisabel, as she is known in the artistic world, has exhibited in many prestigious galleries in Belgium, Saratoga Spring (NY), Denver (CO), West Bloomfield (MI), New Orleans (LA), Calgary (AB), Vancouver (BC), Saint-Sauveur (QC), Knowlton (QC), Montreal (QC) and surrounding areas…

Glenn Miller’s Biography

Glenn Miller’s career path has been extremely diverse and entrepreneurial, to say the least. From employee benefits to corporate finance to working in Russia, Glenn has occupied several important positions in large companies. For eight years he was the Vice President, business development for a large Canadian bank; one of the many positions he occupied there. In 2002 Glenn founded Emergia Capital, a boutique asset based lending firm that specialized in corporate restructuring and distressed debt . He left the company in August of 2009 to take on a mandate as chief restructuring officer of a retail operation. Mr Miller has acquired extensive knowledgeable in financial and operational restructuring as well as optimizing the performance of small and medium sized companies. Glenn recently re-launched his investment banking and corporate renewal practice; MBG FINANCES LTD.

Mr Miller has served on several advisory boards and boards of directors, including : Sous-Traitance Industrielle Québec (S.T.I.Q.), Rideau Inc., Miazzi Ventures Inc., Poste-A-Tout Inc., Expert Medic, Global Medic, Domaine Lac St-Victor, CIACPCC Inc and Emergia Aérospace. Most recently, he served on the advisory board of Sotheby’s International Realty (Québec),

Glenn presently acts as management consultant and strategic advisor to several organization is the retail, leisure business and real estate development sectors. He is also currently on the board of director of the Montréal TMA chapter, ( turnaround management association ) an international organization.

For the last three years this business man, who is also a patron of the arts, partnered with his wife, Lisabel Filiatrault, to launch her career as an artist and to open their own gallery/studio. He also acts as Lisabel’s manager promoting her art works in North America and Europe. Glenn Miller is the proud father of three wonderful children.
